Asset Management Day is back—and this year, we’re celebrating with a fresh twist! As part of Local Government Awareness Week (May 11–17, 2025), Asset Management BC (AMBC) invites communities across the province to take part in a fun, engaging contest that highlights the unsung heroes of local government service delivery: our infrastructure assets.
📅 Asset Management Day lands on Wednesday, May 14, right in the middle of the week-long celebration. It’s a time to spotlight the critical role local governments play in managing infrastructure responsibly—not just for today, but for future generations.
🏗️ 2025 Local Government Awareness Week Theme: Infrastructure
Infrastructure is the backbone of our communities—yet it’s often invisible to the people who rely on it every day. This year’s theme encourages local governments to tell the story of their infrastructure and share how thoughtful asset management is ensuring sustainable service delivery into the future.

Have a recent infrastructure upgrade you’re proud of? A before-and-after transformation worth celebrating? AMBC wants to see it!
To honour Asset Management Day 2025, we’re launching the Show Us Your Assets (Makeover Edition) contest. It’s simple, fun—and the winner gets a free registration to the 2025 AMBC Conference.
Here’s how to enter:
STEP 1: Snap a photo of an asset management makeover or infrastructure improvement in your community.
STEP 2: Post your photo on LinkedIn, tag Asset Management BC, and use the hashtags #AMDay2025 and #OurAssetsMatter.
STEP 3: One lucky participant will be randomly selected to win free registration to the 2025 AMBC Conference!
Whether it’s a new community centre roof, revitalized stormwater system, or upgraded trail network, we want to see how you’re caring for the assets that keep BC’s communities strong.
